Our food is always cooked to order using only the finest cuts of meat and fresh vegetables daily.  Below is a selection of some of our most popular dishes and our chef fully understands that the Western palette is not as fire proof as the Thai's and will always cook spicy to your requirements.

To eat Thai food at it's best dishes are served all at once allowing everyone from the table to sample each dish allowing the the fragrances and spices to fuse together being the traditional method of eating Thai food.  Many people find choosing our set meals including the most popular dishes the best way to order suitable for groups of 2 to 6.

Thai Green Curry

A Thai favorite:  A fusion of coconut milk, green curry paste, aubergine, pea aubergine, sugar, fish sauce, kaffir lime leaves.  Chose either Chicken Pork Prawns or Tofu!

Green curry is slightly spicy with a slightly bitter flavour coming from the from the pea Aubergine and kaffir leaves.  Almost Thailand's number 1 selling dish!

Sizzling Border Bar Spare Ribs

A firm favourite amongst The locals and tourists are our very own Border Bar Ribs.  Bite size pork ribs steamed then marinated in our own thai barbecue marinade then crispy fried and served with a thick spicy sauce.

Tissues are found on every table though licking fingers clean is the best aproach!

Tum Yum Goong

Thailand's national dish and served only for those that like it "hot"

A Hot and Sour Thai soup served with fistful of prawn.  This dish is so famous the Thais have even made movies with the same name!

Steamed Fish

Slow steamed "melt in the mouth' 'Tabtim' fish with Chilli and Lime.

This style fish is generally only for the Thai pallette due to its very hot and spicy kick usually too much for the western taste however The Border Bar prepare a variety of fish dishes steamed with sweet 'n' Sour sauce and also deep fried with garlick.

Please be sure to order fish before 4pm as it is only cooked fresh to order.

Thai Sweet & Sour

Choose pork, Chicken or Tufu for this popular Thai dish.

Sweet and sour is cooked using fresh bell peppers not hot chillies making it slightly spicy but not overwhelming.
